Tottenham have smashed their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
The move represents somewhat of a coup for Spurs, who beat Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus to the France international midfielder.
It is the North London club's second signing since Lucas Moura in January 2018, with Jack Clarke also arriving from Leeds United on Tuesday.
The fee of 54m paid to Lyon eclipses the 42m they spent on Davinson Sanchez in 2017.
That initial amount could rise to 63m if add-ons are met.
