KUALA LUMPUR – Emo rock icons My Chemical Romance will make their long-anticipated return to Malaysia with a one-night-only performance at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on April 30, 2026, as part of their Long Live The Black Parade world tour.
The band officially announced the Southeast Asian leg of the tour via Instagram, confirming performances across six countries in the region. Prior to Kuala Lumpur, the band will perform in the Philippines on April 25 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan and Singapore on April 28 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Southeast Asian run will conclude in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 3 as part of the Hammersonic Festival 2026.
In addition to Southeast Asia, the tour includes dates across North America, Latin America, and East Asia. The band will kick off the tour on July 11, 2025, in Seattle, USA, before heading to Latin America with stops in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Chile. They will then travel to South Korea ahead of their Southeast Asian shows.

The band’s return to Malaysia has been met with feverish excitement among fans, many of whom had speculated about the tour after a cryptic billboard message reading,
“Malaysia, are you okay?” appeared in several locations across the Klang Valley. The phrase, an apparent nod to the band’s 2004 anthem I’m Not Okay (I Promise), triggered speculation that was finally confirmed this week.
My Chemical Romance, comprised of Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Iero, first gained global recognition with their 2004 album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, followed by the critically acclaimed The Black Parade in 2006. Their theatrical blend of emo, punk and alternative rock won them legions of fans worldwide.
The band previously performed in Malaysia in December 2007 at Stadium Merdeka during The Black Parade Tour, drawing a crowd of over 10,000.
After disbanding in 2013, MCR surprised fans with a reunion show in Los Angeles in 2019. They later released The Foundations of Decay in 2022, their first new material in nearly a decade.
Their 2026 tour promises a nostalgic deep-dive into their discography, with expectations high that the band will perform The Black Parade album in full, alongside favourites such as Helena, Teenagers, Famous Last Words, and Sing. - July 7, 2025
More tour updates and ticketing announcements are expected to follow through the band’s official channels. - July 7, 2025
