BELURAN: State Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries I, Datuk James Ratib, hopes Paitan will be elevated to district status to further boost development in the area.
The Sugut Assemblyman said two Federal Ministers who attended at a recent Taganggu Festival celebration agreed that that Paitan Sub-District should be upgraded for continued development.
He said road repairs, electricity and water supply issues plagued many parts of Sugut and that the entire Beluran Parliament constituency needed strong commitment from a leader to be resolved.
