Usain Bolt and Joseph Fiennes among stars at day five of Wimbledon

Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt was among the famous faces spotted at Wimbledon on the fifth day of the Championships.

The 100m world record holder took a seat in centre court’s royal box on Friday afternoon to watch Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic face Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.

Bolt joined former prime minister Rishi Sunak and British actor Joseph Fiennes, who were photographed shaking hands.

Bohemian Rhapsody actor Ben Hardy and Gavin And Stacey star Rob Brydon were among the other notable people watching the match.

Elsewhere on Friday, reigning champion Jannik Sinner will return for his third-round match with American Jenson Brooksby on court one.

Women’s world number one Aryna Sabalenka will take on Jeļena Ostapenko and Americans Coco Gauff and Claire Liu will go head to head.

Tennis fans visiting Wimbledon on Friday were enjoying a dry and sunny day, but temperatures are expected to rise from Monday for the second week of the Championships.

A yellow heat health alert has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency covering areas including London from 12pm on Saturday until 5pm on Wednesday.

Former England boss Roy Hodgson, his wife Sheila and physicist Brian Cox were also due to appear in the royal box.

Meanwhile, four-time grand slam champion Naomi Osaka wowed tennis fans in another eye-catching outfit on Friday.

The Japanese tennis player walked on court wearing a long, all-white ensemble ahead of her ladies’ singles match against Daria Kasatkina of Australia.
