- Eight iconic looks worn by Freddie Mercury will be displayed at the V&A South Kensington in a free temporary trail titled Freddie Mercury Splendid Things.
- The exhibition marks what would have been the Queen frontman's 80th birthday, spotlighting “his flamboyance, charisma and the multi-disciplinary creativity that helped define his enduring legacy”, according to the museum.
- Seven of the outfits featured in the display have been loaned by Mercury's former fiancée and close friend, Mary Austin.
- Featured items include the ‘Mercury Wing’ catsuit from the Bohemian Rhapsody video and the crown and cloak from his final stage appearance with Queen in 1986.
- The free trail runs from 24 October until 17 January 2027.
