KENINGAU: Five people, including three women, were injured when the Toyota Hiace van they were travelling in skidded near the Puncak Damai restaurant in Kampung Bayangan here Saturday night.

The five victims, aged 17 and 27, were removed from the vehicle by members of the public and two male victims were sent to hospital before the arrival of the Fire and Rescue Department.

The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 10.38 pm and a team of nine members led by Operations Commander, Norhasrita Manan rushed to the scene of the incident with machinery.
