RAWANG - Two individuals died after their vehicle caught fire in a head on collision with a container lorry at Jalan Kuala Garing here, today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a team of personnel from the Rawang fire station were rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 3.53am.
"As they arrived at the scene, two bodies of a local 26-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were found.
"The fire involved a Honda City with 70 per cent of the car destroyed while the container lorry was half destroyed in the fire," he said in a statement, today.
He added that the lorry driver was safe as he managed to get out of the vehicle in time.
The bodies were brought to the Selayang Hospital for an autopsy.
