MANILA, Philippines — Rain or Shine registered its second straight win behind a vengeful 110-99 demolition of Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Elasto Painters played with a lot of energy behind import Aaron Fuller, who recorded 37 points, 12 rebounds and five assists as they improved to an even 2-2 record.
Forward Caelan Tiongson added 21 points, lacing his solid offense via a 5-of-9 shooting from downtown as Rain or Shine led by as many as 18 points en route to the victory.
ROS bowed to Ginebra in sox games in their semifinal series in the Commissioner’s Cup.
Ginebra absorbed its second defeat in three games.
Riley Grigsby led Ginebra with 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
RJ Abarrientos and Troy Rosario scored 13 points each.
