Venus Williams is looking forward to being reunited with her sister Serena in doubles at the upcoming Wimbledon grand slam.

"It will be unbelievable to go out there. It feels a bit surreal," Venus Williams said ahead of her debut appearance at the Bad Homburg grass court tournament on Sunday.

While 46-year-old Venus still plays occasionally on the tour, Serena came out of almost four years of retirement two weeks ago at age 44.

The pair were last week granted a wildcard entry for the doubles at Wimbledon, which starts on June 29.

Serena Williams boasts 23 grand slam singles titles and Venus seven. In doubles, they have 14 trophies at the majors, including six Wimbledon titles. They also won three Olympic golds.

"We know that both of us have the potential to play great. We hope that we can make that happen," Venus Williams said.

She added that the Bad Homburg event, where she starts against a qualifier, offers her "the opportunity to play on grass for the first time in many years." Her last appearance on grass was three years ago at Wimbledon.
