Belgian icon Frank Vercauteren is happy seeing Vincent Kompany succeed at Burnley.
Such has been Kompany's impact at Burnley that he is being linked with Aston Villa today.
Vercauteren felt Kompany was granted longer than expected with Anderlecht, though is pleased seeing him succeed with the Clarets.
He told HLN: "Three years without a trophy is a long time for an Anderlecht trainer. Vincent got more time than any other Anderlecht coach.
"On the other hand, I didn't think Vincent would leave without a trophy.
"But Vincent is doing well at Burnley , just like Clement is doing well at Monaco. Belgian trainers are not always well promoted abroad, that is changing and that is positive."
