KUALA LUMPUR - Veteran actor Nu’man Mohd Salleh, better known as Charlie, who has been battling stage four intestinal cancer, died today. He was 71.
His brother, Yusri Salleh said Nu’man died at his daughters home in Sri Rampai here at about 8.15 pm.
"He has been bedridden since Thursday and was taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he was confirmed to be suffering from intestinal cancer.
"He was admitted to the intensive care unity and was allowed to return home on Friday. His situation was critical and he could not speak,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
He added that funeral prayers would be conducted at Salahuddin Al-Ayubbi Taman Melati Mosque before zohor prayers tomorrow and Nu’man would then be buried at the Raudhatul Sakinah Taman Selaseh Muslim Cemetery.
