Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas remains confident of keeping hold of Rayan Cherki.
Manchester United have made an offer to the 15 year-old's family as they seek to add him to their academy squad this summer.
The France U17 midfielder's parents are said to have visited United's Carrington HQ this past season as they consider Rayan's future.
However, Aulas said at the presentation of new signing Jean Lucas yesterday: "I am more and more optimistic for Rayan Cherki.
"It's really in his interest to stay at OL. He has solicitations from big clubs. I trust his parents and things will be settled."
