
KUDAT: Kudat Wira Warisan Chief Khairuddin Daud hit out at Department of Lands and Surveys for issuing notices to residents of Kampung Landong Ayang, ordering them to vacate their homes within 14 days.
He said it was “inhuman, unjust and a betrayal of the government’s responsibility to protect its citizens.”
He claimed Kg Landong Ayang had existed since the 1970s. They have contributed to the development of this area for over 40 years,” he said.

The villagers want the eviction notice withdrawn and is calling for an open dialogue between the affected community, relevant agencies, and grassroots leaders.
