Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno has welcomed new coach Marcelino.
Marcelino was named coach yesterday by Villarreal, replacing Pacheta after his sacking last week.
Moreno said: "The feeling is very good.
"We all know Marcelino and his arrival brings us excitement. Now, as we have been doing since yesterday, we must continue working to reverse the situation and move forward, which is what we want.
"Marcelino can give us a lot, such as a very defined style of play. I am sure that he will make us improve in all facets of the game. The players must work to pick up his concepts and ideas as soon as possible."
With the arrival of the Asturian, Gerard is reunited with "the coach who promoted me to the first team, with whom I made my debut in the Primera Division.
"We want to be at the top, we have started the season in a way that we did not expect, but the momentum of the coach's arrival should help us move up."
