Marcelino has been named new coach of Villarreal.
The Spanish coach has signed a deal to 2026, he replaces Pacheta after his sacking last week.
Marcelino becomes the third appointment at Villarreal this season after Quique Setien was also axed in the opening games of the campaign.
It marks a return to Villarreal for Marcelino after a bitter split seven years ago.
However, both parties have fixed their differences over the years and now are reunited.
