A video is currently going viral on social media, showing a security guard spraying water on a homeless man sleeping on a sidewalk and another man kicking the man in an attempt to chase him away from the sidewalk.
The #UpdateInfo X page shared the video and expressed their disgust over the actions against the homeless man.
“Do they not have feelings?”
They wrote, “How can they have the heart to do that? Do they not have feelings? Still stupid despite being old.”
In the video, which is believed to have taken place in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, a security guard can be seen attaching a hose to an outdoor pipe before using it to spray water on a homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk, causing the homeless man to sit up.
Then, another man appears and kicks the homeless man and his belongings before picking up the hose dropped by the security guard and further dousing the homeless man with water.
“He’s a human being too!”
The security guard and the man’s actions have left Malaysians enraged, as many pointed out that, even if they want to chase the homeless man away from the location, there are better and more humane ways to do it.
“CRUEL! Give him RM10, tell him to go get some food, and he’ll leave. There’s no need to kick him like he’s an animal. Even when we kick an animal to chase it away, God will be angry. What more if they’re a human.”
“Why did they have to do that? When you can just tell him nicely.”
“Pity (the homeless man). Try having some empathy as a human. Do you think he wants to be homeless like that?”
“May both the female guard and the man be prosecuted under the law. Don’t they have a sense of humanity? Their attitudes are so far removed from being concerned for fellow human beings!”
