Vissel Kobe are signing former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.
Mata moves to the J-League after being released by Galatasaray by mutual consent at the end of last season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Mata is in agreement with Vissel Kobe and the transfer is expected to be completed shortly.
Mata has also had offers from several clubs in the Middle East, but it will be Japan for the 35-year-old.
Romano stated: "Juan Mata closing in on deal to sign with Vissel Kobe, here we go! Spanish world champion chooses J-League to continue his career ahead of other offers from the Middle East.
"Agreement imminent, here we go."
