vivo Malaysia is giving everyone a chance to play with its first MR headset, the Vision Discovery Edition, in selected stores through guided trial sessions, so people can experience the device before it fully rolls out.
These sessions are available by registration at vivo’s flagship stores in Mid Valley Megamall Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and Queensbay Mall Penang, running now until February 28 next year.
Participants will get to try features like the immersive dome video that simulates a portable 120-foot giant-screen cinema, multi-angle sports and esports viewing, and intuitive move-and-pinch gesture controls powered by OriginOS Vision. Slots are limited, so early sign-ups are recommended via the QR code above.
The headset utilizes precise eye tracking with up to 1.5-degree accuracy, supports 26-degree-of-freedom finger recognition, and adopts a gesture-first navigation model. Dual Micro-OLED panels deliver an 8K-equivalent binocular picture while reducing visual strain, and the whole experience is driven by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform for smoother, high-fidelity real-time rendering.
