Dongfeng’s premium electric vehicle arm, Voyah, has officially launched its flagship multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the Voyah Dream 9, in Beijing. Designed to challenge high-end luxury people-movers, the Dream 9 blends traditional Eastern design elements with autonomous driving hardware and high-performance electric power.
With pre-sale prices starting from 429,900RMB to 529,900RMB (which is about USD63,200 to USD77,900), the Voyah MPV secured over 30,000 refundable pre-orders within 48 hours of its reveal.

The design philosophy of the Voyah Dream 9 bridges traditional Chinese luxury motifs with modern automotive engineering. A prominent front fascia featuring vertical chrome elements inspired by traditional Chinese armour. An electrically deployable hood emblem that rises when unlocked and retracts flush when locked (like the flying lady on a Rolls Royce).
It comes equipped with Huawei Xpixel smart projection headlights capable of projecting directional arrows directly onto the road surface. A continuous accent strip extending across a two-tone body color finish.
Get inside and you get a ‘Smart Cockpit’. The Dream 9 integrates Huawei’s full intelligent vehicle tech stack. The smart driving setup relies on 37 individual sensors, including a roof-mounted 896-channel dual-optical-path LiDAR and three high-precision solid-state LiDARs placed around the body. This hardware suite supports Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 autonomous driving software.

Inside, the cabin is managed by HarmonySpace 6, featuring a multi-modal large language model (LLM) for voice command processing. Dual 15.6-inch front screens and a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted rear display cater to passenger entertainment.
Designed to cater to both corporate executive transport and luxury family transit, the cabin offers versatile seating layouts. Second-row seats feature zero-gravity recline modes, mechanical massage functions, and 180-degree rotation to face third-row passengers for mobile meetings.
Climate & Privacy Control: Includes a 13-liter active cooling/heating refrigerator in the central console, smart adaptive dimming glass for rear passenger privacy, and tray tables.
The Dream 9 is built on an 800V high-voltage architecture across all trim levels, enabling 5C fast charging that replenishes 20% to 80% battery capacity in 12 minutes.

Handling a 5.3-meter vehicle in urban traffic is managed by Voyah’s Huju P intelligent chassis system which is Bi-directional Rear-Wheel Steering that turns up to 10 degrees to improve turning radius and agility. There is a 3-Chamber Air Suspension system that offers four-level height and stiffness adjustments. The Dual-Valve Electronic Damper Control (EDC) continuously adjusts damping force in real time to minimize body roll and road vibrations.
The luxury MPV segment in China and international markets has become increasingly competitive. The Voyah Dream 9 directly targets established rivals in ASEAN nations including the Denza D9, Zeekr 009, and GWM WEY 9. By partnering with Huawei for software and autonomous hardware while providing high-end physical amenities, Voyah aims to capture a larger share of the executive shuttle and high-net-worth family market.
