Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski admits he'd welcome Pep Guardiola's return.

The Manchester City manager has been mentioned by Bayern officials as they seek a long-term replacement for sacked coach Niko Kovac.

Lewandowski said, "Of course, that's not my decision. But Pep Guardiola, in my opinion, makes almost every player better, so everyone would be lucky to train under his belt."

Hansi Flick is currently in charge on a caretaker basis and Lewandowski added: "Hansi Flick worked well in just a few days, did a great job, and set us up very well tactically. The players believed directly in him and his words, he gave us new life."
