KUNAK: Urgent repairs are needed for Jalan Jaya Baru, a main route to Kampung Jaya Baru, adjacent to the weekly Tamu Market near Pekan Kunak.
The roadway’s infrastructure has worsened, having been left unattended since last year, resulting in increasingly hazardous and deepening potholes.
Kunak District Council Executive Officer Mohd Nazri Pintal said his Department has alerted the concessionaire tasked with the road’s maintenance and oversight.
“Maintenance responsibility for this road falls under the concessionaire, a contracted company operating under our District Council. We are communicating this complaint to them for prompt attention,” he told Daily Express.
