H&M has announced a new designer collaboration with New York-based luxury essentials label Wardrobe.NYC, founded by editor and stylist Christine Centenera and designer Josh Goot.
The collection will be the brand’s decade-long vision into a tightly edited capsule wardrobe, with a focus on timeless, wearable pieces designed to work seamlessly together. The pieces will form the kind of outfit you can throw together with minimal effort, but still make you look pulled together.
Drawing on the Wardrobe.NYC archive, the collection centers around archetypal urban staples, with cut tailoring in a muted, versatile palette. Wool coats, structured blazers, and tailored skirts form the basis of the collection, with items like washed denim and hoodies giving it a casual feel.
The collaboration will not be trend-focused; instead, the line will be made up of timeless pieces that Centenera says she hopes will become “staples.” Echoing her, Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of design women’s wear at H&M, told trade publication Drapers that the collection will consist of “pieces that will be in your wardrobe for a long time.”

Where can you shop the collection?
The collection will be available to shop online at hm.com and in selected H&M stores worldwide.
What kind of pieces are included in the collection?
The collection includes a mix of tailored and casual staples, true to Wardrobe.NYC’s signature style. Images released by H&M show that we can expect structured blazers, tailored pants, and fitted skirts. But it looks like we’ll also get a take on Wardrobe.NYC’s signature black leggings. There are also more relaxed pieces, including sweatshirts, bomber jackets and shirts.
Everything has been designed to work together as a cohesive, mix-and-match wardrobe.
How much will H&M x Wardrobe.NYC collection cost?
The pricing has not been announced, but the most recent designer collaboration H&M did was with Stella McCartney, which ranged in price from $37.99 to $329.99. If the newest collection follows the same format, you’ll be saving a lot — Wardrobe.NYC generally ranges from $200 to $2,500.
