
The Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh-led Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De) held a Panthic political conference at Ajnala on Wednesday. Held under the leadership of Charanjit Singh Ghalib, the conference witnessed participation from the youth, and Panthic personalities.
Tarsem Singh, the father of the MP, in his address during the conference, said, in order to take Punjab back to the heights of excellence, people would have to rise above casteism and factionalism, and strengthen communal harmony and unity.
He said the youth of Punjab was being pushed into the swamp of drugs, due to which the future of the state was in danger.
He added that governments were diverting attention from “the real issues of the people”, and performing politics of dividing society, but the people of Punjab were now uniting for their rights.
The senior leadership of the outfit called for continuing the struggle for the rights of Punjab, the liberation of the youth, and Panthic unity.
