In a fiery exchange of words, Muda President Syed Saddiq responded to Tun Dr Mahathirs recent comments, challenging the former premier's stance on promoting Malaysia as a multiracial country.

The clash between the once-mentor and mentee has sparked a debate on constitutional rights and the future of a diverse Malaysia.

Syed Saddiq, known for his outspoken nature, firmly defended the idea of multiracialism, stating that embracing diversity strengthens the nation rather than weakens it.

"The new generation of young Malay leaders from Muda will prove you wrong," he asserted. He further emphasized the significance of meritocracy, emphasizing its potential to create a more resilient generation.

Dr Mahathir, on the other hand, argued that promoting a multiracial Malaysia goes against the provisions of the Federal Constitution.

He questioned the legality of advocating for a country defined by diversity when the Constitution emphasizes a "Malay-Malaysia" concept. The former premier's comments have reignited discussions on the interpretation of constitutional principles.

Syed Saddiq strongly disagreed with Dr Mahathir's views, emphasizing that any attack on non-Malays or non-bumiputras is an attack on all Malaysians.

He urged for unity and moving forward, rather than dwelling on historic differences. "We should focus on making Malaysia a great and developed country that all Malaysians can proudly call home," he emphasized.

As the debate continues, the nation watches closely, eager to see how these different perspectives will shape the future of Malaysia and its multicultural society.
