Ringing in the new year with a painful lesson…

For these group of young boys, never would they expect to come face to face with the law, although it seemed that there was a valid reason behind it.

In an incident that has gone viral on social media, a New Year celebration in Kuala Lumpur saw the group getting down to ‘ketuk ketampi’ for riding ‘basikal lajak’.

The modified bicycles are considered road offences in Malaysia, following a string of accidents in the past.

The boys weren’t able to ‘elude’ the police, thus given a rather public lesson to serve as a warning.

Many netizens have sided with the police, citing the dangers such act might impose on other road users. Plus, they’re minors who shouldn’t have been wandering around late at night.
