A Moscow-based couple is revolutionising wildlife monitoring by using artificial intelligence to count and observe squirrels in the city's parks.

Viktor Bokrenev and Olga Gorlova have installed remote-controlled feeders equipped with cameras, allowing visitors to watch the animals in real-time.

Their AI software not only tracks squirrel activity but also identifies individual squirrels, providing valuable insights into their eating habits.

With seven feeders already in place, they hope to expand their project and improve urban wildlife conservation.
