A solemnization ceremony is usually filled with serenity and conducted in an orderly manner. But for one couple in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, their special day took an extraordinary turn when a sudden power outage struck right in the middle of their wedding.
The blackout instantly transformed the atmosphere of the akad nikah into something that resembled a romantic "candlelight dinner." Guests quickly came together to help, using mobile phone flashlights and candles to provide light throughout the ceremony.

According to a video shared on the TikTok account Myzahs, the wedding took place at a surau in Kuala Krai. Unfortunately, the village experienced an unexpected electricity supply disruption on the very day of the ceremony.
Despite the setback, the akad nikah proceeded smoothly, and the bride and groom were officially declared husband and wife. The celebration continued with joy as guests and family adapted to the unusual circumstances.
Interestingly, during the wedding feast, candles were lit to illuminate the space, adding a touch of romance to the meal. What could have been a stressful situation instead created a unique and memorable atmosphere, leaving the couple and their guests with a wedding story unlike any other.
