Welcome back to Watch Spotting where we discover the iconic timepieces worn by celebrities around the world.
This time we are racing through American actor Brad Pitt’s watch collection. Known for his rogue-ish roles and charming good looks, Pitt has been one of the most famous Hollywood actors from the 1990s still working today. Naturally, his collection of timepieces are fitting for a high profile celebrity like him. His collection spans from Vacheron Constantin all the way down to vintage Citizen’s that you can get on the second-hand market.
Pitt made his humble film debut as a background extra in a beach movie Hunk (1987). He eventually gained early recognition for his breakout role as a charming drifter in Thelma & Louise (1991). He rose to international stardom through critically acclaimed performances in Legends of the Fall (1994), Se7en (1995), and Fight Club (1999). Over the decades, Pitt has demonstrated his versatility in films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Inglourious Basterds (2009), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), the latter of which earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
The actor will be drifting back into cinemas with the upcoming blockbuster F1 (2025) alongside Javier Bardem and Damson Idris. Compelling audiences with his thrilling performances and unique characters, Pitt has remained one of Hollywood’s most versatile stars.
Suitably, Pitt’s collection features sportier steel watches from high horology houses and brands. Suiting his luxuriously relaxed yet adaptable style in real life. From steel pieces from IWC and Vacheron Constantin to refined dress watches from Cartier and Patek Phillipe, each piece is an icon in its own right. Whether racing the F1 circuit at lightning fast speed or suited to the nine’s for a red carpet stroll at Cannes’, Pitt’s watch collection suits his fast paced lifestyle.

Brad Pitt turned heads during the 2022 Oscars season, not only for his tailored suiting but also for his choice of wristwear: the Vacheron Constantin 222. Caught on camera at press screenings for Bullet Train, the neo-vintage gold luchre of the watch spoke volumes about how Pitt’s cinematically rakish and understatedly luxurious sensibilities converged.
The original 222 debuted in 1977 to mark the 222nd anniversary of Vacheron Constantin, with an integrated bracelet and streamlined design by Jorg Hysek that was as much daring as it was elegant. The 2022 revival remains faithful to this one but adds a level of modern sophistication, reviving an icon that predates even the Nautilus and Royal Oak.
Driving the new 222 is the calibre 2455/2, with a 40-hour power reserve and Geneva Seal decoration. Its monobloc case, flawless finishing, and small-series production make it look like a connoisseur’s watch—a modest masterpiece for the guy who doesn’t have to try too hard.
Today, the watch is available in yellow gold and stainless steel with a dark blue dial in a compact 37mm case size.

During a visit to Budapest in late July 2024 for the Hungarian Grand Prix, Pitt was caught wearing the revitalized IWC Ingenieur with a green dial – evidence that his sense of style is still elegant and effortless. Then unreleased, watch fans quickly spotted the green dialed watch and went into a speculation frenzy.
First made for working men who were subjected to magnetic fields, the IWC Ingenieur was revived in the 1970s by Gérald Genta. The 2023 revival streamlined the look with smoother lines and a less conspicuous 40mm case, while the green dial provided a splash of contemporary appeal.
Within is the calibre 32111, a trusty automatic movement with 120-hour power reserve. With soft-iron anti-magnetic shielding and a high-quality steel case, the timepiece is an instrument watch with a touch of class – a fitting accessory for a modern-day icon like Brad Pitt.

Pitt’s timepiece performance was taken up a notch when he debuted the Breitling Premier Norton Edition to a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood party in 2019. The watch captured the movie’s retro-flavored bike culture look – tough but elegant, much like its wearer.
This union of Norton Motorcycles and Breitling brings together two traditions of engineering. The tachymeter scale, pump pushers with retro looks, and Norton badges on the caseback channels 1940s racing culture via a thoroughly contemporary package.
Inside is Breitling’s in-house B01 caliber, a COSC-certified column-wheel chronograph with vertical clutch and 70-hour power reserve. It’s tough and elegant, a mechanical celebration of speed and steel.

Brad Pitt was seen wearing this Cartier watch in 2013 on a photo shoot for USA Weekly, an extremely rare 27mm ‘Guichet Jump Hour’ reference 2817 produced in only 100 examples around the world. The discontinued 18k rose gold watch was made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Cartier, as a re-issue of the original Cartier Tank Guichet.
First released in 1928, the Tank à Guichets is a jumping hour mechanical watch with no hands or conventional dial. Its slim pierced-aperture platinum case offers a futuristic, secretive approach to timekeeping, befitting Pitt’s understated glamour. It was re-released at Watches & Wonders 2025 as one of Cartier’s headline pieces and will be available to the public.
All but one of them are driven by a manually wound mechanical caliber with jumping hours and enigmatic trailing minutes. Cartier’s ability to render something as functional as a mechanical digital display into high art is what makes this Tank so remarkable – and one of the most challenging watches to acquire in Brad Pitt’s collection.

Pitt has been seen with the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 while out and about on numerous occasions. To all watch enthusiasts, owning a 5711 is probably the biggest flex, thanks to its unattainability.
First launched in 1976 and designed by Gérald Genta, the Nautilus changed the perception of steel watches forever. The 5711 iteration, introduced in 2006, became the ultimate holy grail for collectors thanks to its balanced proportions, horizontal teak dial, and integrated bracelet. The watch has basically birthing the integrated sports watch trend that has lasted till today.
Inside beats the calibre 26‑330 S C, renowned for smooth winding, stop-seconds function, and elegant finishing. There’s a reason why it’s the grail watch for many watch aficionados – it’s subtle, accurate, and completely impossible to get – well, unless you’re Brad Pitt.

During the premiere of One Love (2024) in February 2024 which Pitt produced, he was spotted with a classic vintage piece from Patek Philippe known as the Calatrava 2526.
Launched in 1953, the reference 2526 was the first self-winding wristwatch from Patek Philippe. With a polished case, domed enamel dial, and dauphine hands, it is the essence of the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.
At the core of it is the calibre 12-600 AT, a top-quality automatic watch featuring a gold rotor and exquisite finishing. Watchmakers praise it as one of the greatest automatic calibres of all time for being understated and just timeless, just like Pitt’s own cinematic legacy.
Though not as rare as the 5711, this dress watch will still set you back a pretty penny as it is only available on the vintage second-hand market.
Market price: RM280,000 – RM500,000+

Wearing the Lange 1 Time Zone on his travels around Europe in 2020, Brad Pitt took the Lange 1 Time Zone to a series of low-profile public appearances in Berlin. As a world-time watch, it’s the ideal accessory for a global citizen like Pitt.
A. Lange & Söhne’s Lange 1 Time Zone redefines world-time functionality with Teutonic attention to detail. Asymmetrical but well-proportioned, it provides for two world times to be displayed simultaneously without sacrificing legibility or beauty.
The L031.1 movement within is hand-assembled with three-quarter plate, screwed gold chatons, and hand-engraved balance cock, delivering a 72-hour power reserve. The watch isn’t simply about telling time – it’s about owning it.

Finally, for a more affordable watch worn by Pitt we present the Citizen “Bullhead”. This golden retrolicious chrono was sported by Pitt in character as stuntman Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019). Paired with a casual T-shirt and boot-cut denim, the watch is the perfect embodiment of the 1970s chorono-racer craze in watches. Another 1970s styling note is that it is worn on a leather bund strap, which originated as a practical watch strap for pilots in World War II.

Dubbed the “Bullhead” because of its pushers at the top of the case, this chronograph was conceived in the 1970s when there was a golden age of watchmaking creativity from Japan. Its offset configuration, rotating bezel, and tachymeter scale bring to mind the racing culture of the period. It is powered by the calibre 8110A, an automated flyback chronograph with day-date complication. For all its bargain-basement price, it delivers a mechanical sting, and eternally commemorates Pitt’s humble pragmatism under all that Tinseltown glitz.
Although the model worn by Pitt was a vintage 1970s version, Citizen have re-released their iconic “Bullhead” chronograph’s with quartz movements. If you aren’t a quartz snob, these newer models will be the perfect companion for daily wear, without needing to be winded and set. The silver panda dial versions are mostly available at retailers. In 2021, Japanese clothing brand BEAMS and Citizen collaborated to release a limited edition golden chronograph that is very identical to the one worn by Pitt. With luck, you can it on reseller websites like Chrono24 or eBay, with prices varying based on condition.
