Having Billie Piper play her in Scoop, a new Netlifx film about 2019's infamous Prince Andrew interview, was "bonkers", former Newsnight producer Sam McAlister has said.
The movie shows how McAlister booked the prince onto the programme with Emily Maitlis (played by Gillian Anderson) and the aftermath that unfolded.
"It was so bonkers... they couldn't tell us apart even now with some of the photos we sent out from the movie... papers are getting mixed up between us," McAlister told The Independent, adding that she never imagined "in her wildest dreams" she'd be portrayed in a film.
Scoop will be released on 5 April.
