Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s creative industries have immense potential to be scaled up into a driver of real, sustainable success if the scattered pockets of creatives, innovators, policymakers and champions of industry could be pooled together and work on it with one heart, said Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit in a Keynote Provocation at the recent Sabah Creative Summit.

“Whether you’re a filmmaker, a fashion designer, a digital artist, or simply someone who believes in the power of storytelling – this moment is for you,” said Fadzli, Vice President of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Transformation who is also Head of its Digital Transformation Division.

“Today, I want to dive into something that’s already brewing all around us – the creative pulse of Sabah,” he said in a session dubbed ‘Creative Industries in Sabah: Scaling up for success.’

“And more importantly, I want to explore how we can grow it, take it global, and transform it into a powerful engine of opportunity, identity, and income,” he said.
