Wednesday’s sport: What’s on and where can I watch it?

England take on Costa Rica in their final warm-up game in Florida before the World Cup finals start on Thursday.

England’s women are also in warm-up action as they play India in Cardiff before the T20 World Cup begins later this week and Harriet Dart will bid to reach the HSBC Championships quarter-finals at Queen’s.

Here is a guide to what is happening in the sporting world on Wednesday and where you can catch the action in the UK.

England head coach Thomas Tuchel will fine-tune his World Cup plans when his side play Costa Rica at the Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando (ITV, 2000).

Tuchel is expected to give a clearer indication of his preferred starting line-up following Saturday’s 1-0 friendly win against New Zealand in which he fielded entirely different teams in each half.

Costa Rica, who have not qualified for the World Cup, provide the last test before England launch their campaign against Croatia in Dallas on June 17.

Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt admitted she was rusty on her return from injury after making just three in her first innings of the summer, while Rachel Capsey and Freya Kemp will bid to maintain their fine form with the bat.

England play Sri Lanka on Friday at Edgbaston in the T20 World Cup’s opening match.
