Wednesday’s sport: What’s on and where can I watch it?

World Cup action takes a well-deserved rest on Wednesday but Wimbledon continues as Britain’s Arthur Fery takes centre stage against Flavio Cobolli.

The Vitality Blast is heading into the final few fixtures and quarter-finalists will soon be known, but first Surrey play Sussex in a Southern Group clash.

Arthur Fery is carrying British hopes on his back at Wimbledon having made it through to the quarter-finals where he faces French Open finalist Cobolli. The 23-year-old became the first British wild card to reach the quarter-finals at a grand slam in the open era and joins Andy Murray, Tim Henman, Cameron Norrie, Roger Taylor and Greg Rusedski as British men to have reached Wimbledon’s last-eight club.

Action from SW19 gets under way on BBC One from 11.15am and continues at 2pm and is also on BBC Two from 1pm and again at 3pm, with Marta Kostyuk taking on Jasmine Paolini and Linda Noskova playing Elise Mertens in the women’s quarter-finals.
