West Ham United are pushing ahead with a bid to sign Ajax defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez.
The anchor man was linked to Chelsea and other Premier League clubs last season.
However, no move materialized, with Alvarez now on the radar of the Hammers.
Per The Express, West Ham have competition for Alvarez's signature in the form of Borussia Dortmund.
The German giants see him as a great option, while West Ham want Alvarez to replace Declan Rice.
If Arsenal secure Rice, the Hammers may go after either Alvarez or Fulham's Joao Palhinha.
