West Ham manager David Moyes is said to be under pressure at the Premier League club.
The Hammers are not in the mood to sack Moyes immediately, given his past work.
The Scottish coach won the Europa Conference League last season and has them in the Europa League latter stages this term.
The Hammers are set to make a decision on Moyes in the coming weeks and months.
They are sounding out possible replacements, if this season does not end well. Free agents Julen Lopetegui, Steve Cooper and Graham Potter are all under consideration.
The club do hope to have star player Lucas Paqueta back available in the coming one or two weeks.
