West Ham have failed with an offer for Inter Milan midfielder Valentin Carboni.
The Argentine is currently impressing on-loan with Monza this season.
TMW says West Ham have come forward this week and made a 14m bid for the playmaker - but Inter immediately turned it down.
For this month, there's little appetite at Inter to sell the 19 year-old.
However, things could change this summer - should an offer starting at 30m arrive for the youngster.
