Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly in the twilight years of his soccer career.
This has been evident from his performances on the field, as Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer the superstar that he once was.
Despite that, he has already scored three goals for Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Even then, many fans have done nothing but criticize the 41-year-old.
Upon seeing fans turn on Ronaldo, his sister, Katia, revealed that the current World Cup is her brother’s ‘last dance.’

Cristiano Ronaldo contradicts his sister’s statement on retirement
Ronaldo’s sister wanted fans to enjoy while it lasts, as Portugal can be eliminated at any stage during the knockouts.
But does Ronaldo share the same thoughts on his potential retirement from soccer? Well, that doesn’t seemed like the case after he addressed it following Portugal’s 2-1 win over Croatia.
“Retirement? Cristiano’s future is not what matters at this moment. I will talk about it later, and I will have enough time, whether after a win or a loss,” Ronaldo said, per Fabrizio Romano on X.
He added, “I will speak with my family, and then make my decision in the way I see fit.”
Portugal are all set to face Spain in the next round, and if they lose, there is a real chance that the legend will call it quits. After all, if Portugal fails to win the World Cup this year, Ronaldo will be 45 the next time.
