What is it? Traditional clothes Messi wore n the World Cup ceremony. Last night was a never-to-forget ceremony for Messi and his team. Argentina finally won the 2022 FIFA World Cup after 36 years since its last victory in 1986.
Not only that, but Argentina’s Messi also won the Golden Ball, the best player award during last’s night ceremony. By the time he received the award, the Emir of Qatar placed a black cloak around the footballer’s shoulders.

What is actually the black cloak?
The cloak is called a bisht. It is traditionally worn by the Arabs for many years. The Arabs wear it to prestigious occasions such as weddings and during Eid. Interestingly, tribal chiefs, kings, emirs, and sheiks wear the cloak too. The bisht means nobility.
A bisht is not made from normal fabric, but it comes from a goat’s wool that is spun into a fabric. You can find bishts in the colours of black, brown, beige, cream, or grey.

A bisht is one of the things that Arabs are proud of. On Twitter, the Arabs are happy that Messi, a football player wore their traditional clothes while holding up the World cup Trophy.
