Puka Nacua has praised the Los Angeles Rams for their support as he navigates a lawsuit connected to an alleged biting incident.

The Rams receiver is trying to turn a difficult offseason into a lesson about judgment, support, and how he carries himself as a professional athlete.

The lawsuit has brought scrutiny, but Nacua has focused on what the experience has taught him both on and off the field.

Puka Nacua says Los Angeles Rams support helped him through lawsuit scrutiny

In a post shared by Sports Illustrated, Nacua reflected on what he has taken from the controversy.

“[It] was a moment for me to learn from some of the situations I was putting myself in and then also having just an awareness of how I’m conducting myself in and out of this football field,” Nacua said.

He added, “I’ve been really grateful for the support from the organization, especially my teammates. People reaching out at different times of the offseason, just checking in.”

The lawsuit stems from a New Year’s Eve incident in which Madison Atiabi accused Nacua of making an antisemitic remark and biting her. Nacua has denied the allegations through his attorney.

His attorney has also said Nacua checked into a Malibu rehab facility before the lawsuit allegations became public, describing the move as part of a personal-growth effort.

Puka Nacua says Los Angeles Rams offseason challenge taught him to ask for help

Nacua said the experience forced him to look more closely at the responsibility that comes with his platform.

“Some of the things I feel like I’ve learned is it’s OK to ask for support and then to recognize the platform that I have and being a professional football player and trying to use that for the betterment of myself and for those around me,” Nacua continued.

“There’s been a lot of good things in the midst of some of these things that have been challenging for me, but it’s been a great improvement in my life,” the LA Rams star concluded.

Nacua is not pretending the offseason has been easy, but he is framing it as a period that forced him to mature. The Rams need him locked in because he remains one of Matthew Stafford’s most important weapons and one of the league’s most productive receivers.

For Nacua, the next step is proving that the growth he described is visible beyond words. The legal process will continue, but his focus is now on showing the Rams that he can be trusted on and off the field.
