Social media has been inundated with posts of people watching baseball games but it’s actually an AI trend. Here’s what to know.

You’ve probably been seeing an uptick in social media of ladies going to baseball games and getting captured by the camera. No, you’re not going insane, and no, none of it is real. It’s the brand new AI trend that’s taking the interwebs by storm. Much like previous trends, it began as a simple and somewhat mundane post that everyone just decided to hop on. It’s also pretty simple to do.

Here’s what you need to know about the Baseball Game trend and how you can do it yourself.

Baseball Game AI Trend: How it started and how to do it

The origin of the trend can be traced to a post on X by user @kangminlee. It read “The average Korean woman” along with a video that seemed to be captured from a live broadcast of a baseball game. The video is focused on a Korean woman wearing an off-shoulder top and watching the game, completely oblivious that she’s being filmed.

For some reason, the post went viral. But people quickly realised that the video wasn’t actually real; it was AI-generated. Soon, social media was full of videos of “live candid shots” from baseball stadiums.

If you want to try it out for yourself, it’s pretty simple to do. All you need are two apps: ChatGPT and KLINGAI.

On ChatGPT, upload a few photos of yourself, then input the following prompt:

Keep the uploaded person’s face exactly the same. Don’t make them look like an AI-generated beauty model. Generate the image as if they were naturally captured by a real KBO live sports broadcast camera in the audience. Realistic SPOTV/KBO broadcast screenshot vibe, candid stadium composition, nearby fans, drinks, cheering ools, handheld fan, natural seating arrangement. Slightly blurred ve-stream quality, compression noise, subtle motion blur, realistic skin texture, baby hairs, sweat, and imperfect lighting. Natural relaxed pose watching the game, not posing for the camera.

Important:
No face reshaping
No enlarged eyes
No jaw editing
No overly smooth/glassy skin
No influencer or photoshoot vibe
Must feel like a real accidental broadcast capture of an ordinary spectator that went viral online

Save the generated photo, then head to KLINGAI and choose “AI Video”. Upload the photo, then use this prompt:

Realistic sports broadcast video of a woman in a crowd, camera slowly zooms in as she is unaware of being on camera, she adjusts her hair or looks around casually watching the match, or sips a drink but all in a natural casual way

The video will take a few minutes to generate depending on whether you have a free or paid account, but after exercising a bit of patience, you’ll have a very believable “live candid shot” of you in a baseball stadium. As evidenced by the hero image on this article, it also works on guys, though it’s arguably less captivating.

Baseball not really your jam? Tweak the prompt and you can put yourself in a different sport like Formula 1.

Why stop there? Don’t be a spectator and be in the paddock instead. I’m sure Charles treats his janitors really well, right?
