- President Donald Trump is kicking off The Great American Fair on Wednesday night with a huge rally, as part of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary.
- The Great American State Fair will take place daily from June 25–July 10 on the National Mall in Washington, DC, between 14th Street and 4th Street. It is free and open to the public, though advance guest pre-registration is encouraged.
- Hailed by organizers as a world-class exposition and modern-day World’s Fair, it aims to celebrate the people, traditions, innovations and spirit that make up America. It will feature more than 150 exhibits from all 56 states and territories, businesses, innovators and civic organizations.
- “The Great American State Fair will showcase the very best of America through state pavilions, industry displays, family-friendly attractions, movie screenings, musical performances, military ensembles, spectacular flyovers, daily cultural programming and an iconic Ferris wheel on the National Mall,” the website states.
- Visitors should note that a variety of food, beverages and alcohol will be available for purchase throughout the fairgrounds, and a bag policy is in place.
