Carlos Alcaraz’s mind was elsewhere after his Wimbledon win against Frances Tiafoe today (5 July).
Presenter and former tennis player and Annabel Croft light-heartedly said she couldn’t let Alcaraz go without “mentioning a certain football match taking place right now.”
The 21-year-old Spanish player excitedly interjected, asking “What’s the score? What’s the score?”.
The defending men’s champion won his match against American player Tiafoe 5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-2, meaning he is through to the fourth round of Wimbledon.
