Scottie Scheffler is in the field at the Cadillac Championship this week, being played at President Donald Trump’s golf course in Miami.
Scheffler is the favorite to win the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral this week.
The world number one is the standout player in the field, and he enters the week on the back of consecutive runner-up finishes at The Masters and the RBC Heritage respectively.
Scottie Scheffler has recorded a series of really impressive results on the PGA Tour this year, despite receiving some criticism for his form.

He’ll be hopeful of making it win number two for the season this week at the Cadillac Championship.
The golf course at Trump National Doral should suit his game perfectly.
What Scottie Scheffler said when asked to give his opinion on President Donald Trump in 2025
Scheffler faces a vitally important run of golf over the next two months, with numerous Signature Events and majors scattered throughout the schedule.
This week, he will be confident of getting off to a strong start in what could be the most crucial part of the season for him.
And he has one huge fan who will be supporting him all the way this week in the form of President Donald Trump.
Trump is clearly a very divisive character all over the world, but one thing that cannot be questioned is his love for the game of golf.
Ahead of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in 2025, Scheffler was asked to share his thoughts on the President of the United States.
“You know, the President is kind of funny,“ Scheffler admitted.

“He loves the game of golf.
“He loves supporting golfers, and I get a call or a text from him sometimes after wins.
“He just loves a game of golf, and he’s one of those guys who, when you’re around him, you know, he does such a good job of almost, like, feeding confidence into everybody around him.
“That was one of the things I noticed a lot during the little bit of time I spent with him. He treats everybody the same and treats people with the utmost respect, whether you’re the person serving us lunch or the caddie on a golf course or the guy who’s the president of the club that we’re at, he treats everybody like they’re the greatest person in the world.“
Having the Cadillac Championship back at Trump National is great news
Donald Trump is clearly very passionate about the game of golf, and judging by Scheffler’s comments, he is extremely popular in the world number one’s household.
It is great that the Cadillac Championship is back at Trump National Doral this week.
The PGA Tour have been away from the Miami golfing hotspot for far too long now.
With the Tour not only bringing an event back to the Blue Monster, but making it a Signature Event as well, there is huge excitement ahead of this week’s golf.
And it should surprise nobody if Scheffler reigns supreme at the Cadillac Championship, given his fine recent form.
If the 29-year-old does succeed this week, he will almost certainly receive a phone call from President Trump congratulating him on his efforts.
