What time does Mexico’s World Cup opening ceremony start – and how to watch

  • Mexico’s opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday 11 June at 6.30pm BST (1:30pm EDT) in Mexico City, and the event will be held at the Estadio Azteca, preceding the Group A match between Mexico and South Africa.
  • Shakira and Burna Boy are set to headline the spectacle, performing the official tournament song, “Dai Dai”.
