- Serena Williams, aged 44, is making a return to singles action at Wimbledon after securing the final wildcard spot.
- She is scheduled to play Australia's Maya Joint, currently ranked 87th in the world, in her first-round match on Tuesday, 30 July. This will be Williams' first singles match in four years, following her last appearance at the 2022 US Open.
- Williams’ clash will be the final match of the day on Centre Court, following the defending champion Iga Swiatek and French Open champion Alexander Zverev’s opener against Alexander Blockx.
- Williams could be therefore be in action on Tuesday evening, at around 7:30pm BST (2:30pm ET).
