What time is the US opening ceremony for the World Cup – and who will perform?

  • The 2026 World Cup will see three separate opening ceremonies from host nations Mexico, the USA and Canada.
  • The third and final World Cup opening ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, USA.
  • The event will commence at 12.30am BST Saturday 13 June (4.30pm PDT and 7:30pm EDT on Friday 12 June) at the SoFi Stadium, ahead of the US’ match with Paraguay.
  • Pop star Katy Perry is set to headline the ceremony, alongside rapper Future.
  • Other performers include Tyla, Lisa from K-pop band Blackpink, Nigerian artist Rema, and Brazilian singer Anitta.
