IRL interviewed Jane Hor, a Chinese Feng Shui master, to talk about what to expect from the Chinese Zodiac signs in 2024. Here are her predictions:
2024 is the year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar. In the Chinese tradition, dragons symbolise good luck, business prosperity, and a good harvest.
This is the year of the Wood Dragon. They are known to be shy and secretive, dwelling inside forests and ponds, and controlling the weather in their domain.
In 2024, the Wood Dragon will be seeking the perfect opportunity to come out. If one does not present itself, it will stay in hiding. This is an indication that 2024 will be a year of Transition.
2024 is the first year under the Fire Sign.
While the previous 5 years were governed by the cooling elements of Water and Metal, this year will mark the start of a new era, one related to fire. Fire is an element related to creative spark, fresh insight, and new inventions.
People will be excited for new things, such as new clothes, new cars, new houses, and exciting new career opportunities. Many will try new technology such as AI to improve their daily lives.
Industries that focus on appearances will do well: Plastic surgery, design, branding, packaging, and aesthetics. Other industries that require the soft touch, such as consulting and counselling, will also grow.
