The New York Knicks’ NBA Championship Parade turned Lower Manhattan into the centre of the basketball world on Thursday, June 18.

The city celebrated a landmark title win, with the team parading through the Canyon of Heroes as fans packed the route.

But amid the attention around the celebration, there was no verified public report placing Taylor Swift at the Knicks parade.

The Knicks Championship Parade followed the traditional route from Battery Park up Broadway to City Hall.

The event began at 10 a.m. ET and marked the franchise’s first NBA title in 53 years.

Swift’s long connection with New York meant her name was always likely to surface around such a major city celebration.

Still, the available public reporting around the time of the parade pointed away from Manhattan.

Taylor Swift reporting centred on Rhode Island mansion activity

The clearest public trail around Swift came from reported activity at her Rhode Island mansion on Wednesday night.

That report described balcony footage showing four women, including one blonde woman in white, and another woman appearing to be Abigail Anderson Berard with a small child.

It also described the house being lit up around 8 p.m., an SUV with tinted windows leaving the property and visible security near the gate and beach.

The reporting did not confirm what the activity was connected to. It also did not link Swift to the Knicks parade.

The factual answer is narrow. Available reporting did not place Swift in New York during the parade. It centred instead on activity at her Rhode Island property the previous night.
