Where to watch The White Lotus season 4 as storyline teasers are announced

More than a year since The White Lotus last graced our screens, HBO has finally dropped some titbits about the show’s fourth season, which – while dates are yet to be confirmed – is due to drop onto the streaming platform at some point in 2027.

We left the White Lotus Thailand with (*spoilers ahead*) in the wake of Rick (Walter Goggins), Chelsea (Aimee-Lou Wood), Jim (Scott Glenn) and Gaitok’s (Tayme Thapthimthong) deaths, which marked the highest kill count for the series so far. Travelling west, the fourth series will take place in two White Lotus resorts on the French Rivera and one in Paris, with Laura Dern, Steve Coogan, Kumail Nanjiani and Max Greenfield – to name a few – announced as cast members in recent weeks.

Mike White’s story will, of course, keep us guessing through episodes, but it’s now been disclosed (courtesy of Variety) that the plot will centre around the renowned Cannes film festival. Producer David Bernad told the publication that it will hone in on “the ups and downs of the festival and the pain of being here and the love and excitement of being here.” He added, "When we located the show at the Cannes Film Festival specifically, this idea of fame popped up. Who has the world’s attention, who are the people that can grab the world’s attention, who are the plus-one in a relationship, who’s the person that has that power — and how that shapes a dynamic.”

As for the hotels, filming will be split between Cannes’s Hotel Martinez (dubbed the White Lotus Cannes), Saint-Tropez’s Château de la Messardière (the White Lotus du Cap) and Paris’s Hôtel Lutetia.

So, if you’re looking to get your telly in order ahead of the highly anticipated release, here’s everything you’ll need to know.

Now TV’s standard entertainment package (from £2.99 a month) currently includes access to select HBO series, including The White Lotus’ first three seasons; however, for full HBO max access, you’ll need to upgrade to the £6.99 a month entertainment plus HBO Max package.

Sky’s new ultimate TV package includes HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, Hayu and Discovery+ (all with ads) for £24 a month.

When will The White Lotus season four air?

According to Variety, filming for the show’s fourth season is set to take seven months, with production having officially commenced on 15 April 2026. By our count, the series should wrap in November, with post-production in TV typically taking anywhere from two months to a year. While neither HBO nor Mike White have given fans a firm air date, it’s suspected that the fourth instalment will hit screens in 2027, rather than eeking into early 2028.
