
- Erica Meg Parkinson, 17, received her first senior England call-up from Sarina Wiegman on Tuesday.
- Parkinson, who will turn 18 in April, was born in Singapore to a Japanese mother and English father.
- She currently plays for Portuguese club Valadares Gaia having moved over to Portugal with her family in 2018 when her brother Denis was scouted by Porto.
- Parkinson, who can speak four languages, is eligible to play for England, Japan, Singapore and Portugal, but has represented England at youth level and is now on the brink of making her senior debut for the Lionesses.
- She could make her debut next month, with Wiegman’s team due to play Spain and Iceland in World Cup qualifiers.
