  • Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele was named in Thomas Tuchel’s 35-man England squad on Friday.
  • Steele was included in the squad despite not playing a single Premier League game this season.
  • The 35-year-old has never played for England at senior level, but did represent his country at youth level and was in the Team GB squad at the 2012 Olympics in London.
  • Steele started his career at Middlesbrough before spells at Northampton, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland, prior to his move to Brighton in 2018.
